“Ever since I was a little girl, I’d dreamt of vampires.”
– Devika Templeton, “Nightfall on New Babylon”
It’s been three years since the release of “Nightfall on New Babylon;” our very first attempt at combining our love of vampire literature with the gritty contours of Victorian period horror. Set in the fictional city of New Babylon, “Nightfall on New Babylon” was a re-vamp of our original untitled series and displayed our growth and victory as authors – the capacity to meld numerous voices into one complex web of political machinations and dark romance. Our affectionate handle for its unique take on the genre, Gaslight Vamp, slowly began to grow into a wider idea, that vampires seen under the dim glow of a gaslamp are somehow softer and more terrifying, and so “Nightfall” became the first in the series called Gaslight Vamp.
Now, three years later, we are continuing with that series. Having refined our process, our characters, and our drive, we will be releasing the continuation stories for our entangled characters.
